Benefit Car Cruise for Dunmore Boy

Mid Valley Car Cruise

Phoenix Woodard is a four year old boy from Dunmore who is recovering from treatment for a rare form of cancer.

All vehicles are welcome, with a $10 donation. Vehicles will assemble July 19 at 5 p.m. in the Weis Market at Ames Plaza on Business Route 6 in Carbondale. The cruise will take Main Street through the Midvalley, briefly merge on Interstate 81 in Dunmore and end at Johnny Rockets at Montage Mountain, 5 Radcliffe Drive, Moosic. A rain date is scheduled for July 26.

• Someone dies in a home fire every 3 minutes in the United States
• Remember to replace the batteries in your smoke detector twice a year
• Install at least 1 detector on each level
• Place them inside and outside sleeping areas
• Test all alarms at least once a month
• Develop an escape plan and review and practice the plan with all family members frequently
